Thank you for choosing to stay at Buck Hill Bush Lodge, we hope that you will enjoy your stay with us. 

*Please take a moment to familiarize yourself and your friends/family on important information pertaining to your stay, as this does form part of our house rules and will be taken as read and accepted on confirmation on your booking. 

THINGS TO DO

Buck Hill Bush Lodge is a perfect place to come and unwind, whether it's for a weekend away or holiday. Come and be surrounded by nature and the magnificent mountain views of Magaliesburg. Wildlife at Buck Hill and the surrounding area includes Impala, Blesbok, Jackal, Warthog, Horses and Cows. Several small Antelope, Porcupine, Guinea fowl, Rabbits and Tortoises plus a wide array of birdlife. You can take a walk on our trail walk where you can view and enjoy the animal life. Cool down in our well maintained swimming pool, watching the beautiful sunsets, and ending the day off with a warm fire from the boma. Or have a romantic evening with your loved one.

ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURE TIMES

• Arrival - Check in from 14:00 pm to 19:00pm 

• (Prior arrangements can be made should you arrive after 19:00pm 

• NO arrivals after 20:00pm) Departure - Check out by 10:00am Inside chalets 

• NO SMOKING INDOORS (ashtrays are provided for smoking areas outside) 

• Please be mindful of non-smokers and please use ashtrays provided. 

• Please clean and sand off your shoes / feet with provided door mats when entering in from outside, this will keep the carpets inside the chalets free of sand and mud (stains that can't be clean will be charged for the full replacement) 

• Put away valuable belongings when outside of the chalet, and when cleaning services come in, as the owners and Night bridge can't take responsibility for any loss or damages. 

• There are MONKEYS in the area, make 100% sure ALL WINDOWS are properly closed when leaving the chalet! 

• Please keep all linen and furniture free from any food stains, marks, etc. 

• Please do not eat on the couches, make use of the kitchen table and or the outside furniture. 

• No wet towels or clothes allowed on the couches. 

• The Chalets is equipped with a rechargeable LED light. It is for inside the chalet when there might be a power outage but is not allowed to be taken out of the chalet. 

• No unauthorized persons are allowed in the chalets during your stay. STRICTLY the number of persons that have booked and paid, are allowed during your stay (this includes children) 

A day rate can be arranged prior to booking in for day visitors. 

CLEANING SERVICE

• Departure cleaning fee of R200 is for the departure day only. This cleaning is applicable per chalet and includes entertainment areas. 

• Additional cleaning services are available on request at an additional cost R150 - R200 per day, depending on Unit size. This entails making beds, washing dishes, empty rubbish, sweeping and mopping of floors and surface bathroom clean. If needed, please advise myself one (1) day in advance - Heidi 081 772 7224 

• PLEASE NOTE! Guests will be liable for any damage/breakage caused by you or your guests. 

• Guests will be charged for the full replacement of breakable items/ appliances, stains on bedding/linen/ pillows, carpets and furniture and missing towels. 

• PLEASE NOTE! The refundable breakage deposit will ONLY be refunded 7 to 10 working days AFTER departure, should there be no damages, breakages or missing items. 

• Recycling - where possible please keep all plastic and bottles separately from normal rubbish as we do recycle. 

• Please use the food waste plastic Tupper for food waste, thank you. 

• If you feel the staff have provided you with great service, please feel free to tip. 

• Braai, boma and fireplace essentials Ice, Wood, fire lighters and matches/lighters is for sale at reception. 

• Assistance from Buck Hill Personal can be provided to light the fire inside the chalet. 

• PLEASE DO NOT USE MORE THAN THREE (3) TO FOUR (4) logs of wood in the small fire place inside the chalet at a time. 

• Wood for the bonfire outside is for sale. 

• The fireplace in the main Lapa will ONLY be operated by Buck Hill Personal and is strictly prohibited for guests to operate the fireplace. 

• Free wood will be provided for the fireplace inside of the main Lapa Kudu Bul.

• No sticks or wood is allowed to be picked up outside or in the bush, for own use. 

• The use of candles is strictly prohibited on the property!!! 

• PLEASE adhere to our legislation, guests will be liable and responsible for any fire hazard that may occur during your stay at Buck Hill Bush Lodge. 

POOL AREA

DISCLAIMER - ALL PERSONS USING THE SWIMMING POOL DO SO ENTIRELY AT THEIR OWN RISK AND THE BUCK HILL BUSH LODGE ACCEPTS NO RESPONSIBILITY, AND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE, INJURY OR DEATH SUFFERED BY ANY PERSON FROM WHATSOEVER CAUSE AND HOWEVER ARISING. 

• Adult supervision for children under the age of 12 at the pool area, or using the swimming pool, is your own responsibility and at your own risk. We as the owners will not be liable or responsible for any accident, injury or death. 

• Please avoid using glass around the pool area, shards of glass are difficult to see in the pool and surrounds and may cause injury. 

• Make use of the outside shower to wash off any sand/mud before entering the pool or chalet. 

OUTSIDE AREA

• The trail walk is taken at your own risk. 

• Please make sure that both main gates are closed at all times, so the animals can't escape and for your own safety and the safety of others. 

SECURITY

• Kindly note that VOLSEC SECURITY have access to the property and they may enter the property at any time to do their routine patrols. 

• Buck Hill has a fully fenced electrical fence, as well as two gates and armed response. There is a panic button in each chalet. Please ensure all chalets are locked when not inside, and at night when sleeping. 

• Please keep your valuables in a safe location, we as owners will not take responsibility for any loss or damage of belongings. 

• Firearms are STRICTLY PROHIBITED, if prior arrangements were made please make your way to reception on arrival for safe keeping in a safe for your firearm. 

RECEPTION INFORMATION

• Breakage/damage and key deposit is R950.00 

• Please sign our disclaimer form on arrival at Reception.

• WIFI password will be given on arrival.

• The DSTV app is downloaded on the TV's, please bring your own DSTV decoder or login with your own DSTV code. 

• NETFLIX Login details & password will be given on arrival.

• For any wifi / passwords difficulties contact Heidi via WhatsApp on 081 772 7224 

• Children should not have ANY remote controls in their hands to operate any functions on 

• devices. (TV / WIFI ROUTER / GATE REMOTES / KEYS) 

• NB: STRICTLY NO HOUSE PARTIES ALLOWED, BE CONSIDERATE, NO LOUD MUSIC THAT WILL DISTURB THE NEIGHBOURS. 

• If this is ignored, we reserve the right to take the steps necessary to ensure the peace of our neighbours.

*Please sign in at reception on arrival for your Cottage / Chalet keys. 

*On leaving please place keys inside the key box under the reception sign at the parking bay.
